BOSTON (CBS) – Who do you think is the greatest American president?

According to a new Gallup poll released this Presidents Day weekend, most Americans say it’s Ronald Reagan.

Reagan led the pack with 19-percent in the survey of 1,015 adults across the country conducted February 2-5.

Abraham Lincoln was second with 14-percent.

Bill Clinton was third, John F. Kennedy was fourth, and George Washington was fifth.

Gallup has conducted 8 of these polls in the last 12 years and the only winners have been Reagan, Lincoln or Kennedy.

The penalty for not studying History is having to repeat it. One question that wasn’t asked of those taking the poll should have been…”Do you know what the following terms mean. The Emanicipation Proclamation, Social Security,TVA,CCC,The Marshall Plan,Relief Recovery and reform,The Emergency Banking act,The FDIC,The WPA. If they didn’t know they should have been disqualified from taking the poll.Reagan and Clinton first and Third?….Give me a break… It,s unbelveable how many think that the World began the day before yesterday

How ironic that Reagan (who belongs nowhere in the top ten), is in first because of the south. And Lincoln (who is first, without even a close second), is in second, because of the south. How embarassing for America.

Abe Lincoln and george washington , were the best but since then all we have had was liars and other presidents that are ALL FOR THEMSELFS not for the AMERICAN AVERAGE JOE so to speak we have poor people barely getting by but yet the president and family can take LAVISH VACATIONS on our DIME and i do not just mean obama im talking about alot of our past presidents as well .Id like to know why does everybody in congress or president or his staffs or any political figure are allowed to have expense accounts or free cell phones or free vehicles and free plane rides and so on and so on if you cut alot of them things out and start making them pay for all these perks our deficit would be cut in more than half if not wipe it out . in my opinion all of the political figures are crooked than a dogs hine leg , you can kiss a honest politician good bye you will never ever find one again like in the old days.

What in the world has Obama changed???? If the common person was intelligent they would realize that was his campaign slogan!!! I give him all the credit in the world for the sales job he put on the american people with that trash but to say he is your favorite president because he’s your “people” is pure ignorant.
