I’m certain that there are many legitimate Physical Therapists that do great good. Unfortunately there are so many that don’t …(People that ARE NOT P/T’s)…and this has given Massage such a bad name that many reading this article will ask……”Isn’t that what they go there for.”Just read the ad’s in the Pheonix or on Craigslist. I once suffered a serious injury that required intense P/T.My sessions at the Therapist’s enabled me to function until my next session. It too bad that so many parasites have found Massage a perfect cover for their other activities.I’m certain there are licensing requirements that these other people don’t meet.

Physical therapist and massage “therapists” are NOT the same thing!

dorie…My point exactly… These people would like to have everyone believe that they are.

What’s hilarious is that Asian ‘massage’ parlors have popped up in nearly EVERY city and town in this country. They are fronts for prostitution and sex trafficking. It’d be nice to see news stations investigate how these businesses seemed to pop up out of nowhere. A few years ago, places like those were confined to Providence and Boston. Now they are in the suburbs and beyond.

They started popping up around the time China was buying up all the US’ debt.

roadbowler…If you were to check it out I believe you would find that this “Business” started 15 minutes after the World began.

Stephen is a popular masseuse and was always booked in advance-many people have seen him without issue-2 people have raised an issue of assault.
I have a bad neck and travel a lot so rely on frequent massages. I have gotten hundreds of massages all over the world. I had massages in MA that were ‘european style’ (woman masseuse) that would make any modest person freak-out. Work was done on my entire body (2 areas that were not touched) but it was not sexual, it’s a technique.
In some tai messages, the masseuse gets on the table with you! The point is, if you are uncomfortable with the style, touch extent touch or the area that is being touched, SAY SO. If a masseuse continues, assault. Like sexual harassment at work. you must say it is unwelcome very clearly and that it must stop. If it doesn’t, you have a sexual harassment case.
You also have an option to leave your underclothes on during massage and I know some people that leave most of their clothes on.
One last point; I know many, many men that get massages with happy endings. These are men that you might work with or men in your family. A few of my friends declined when offered and that was that. No police, no arrests with the masseuse’s photo, name and even address plastered everywhere without a trial. If the women in these parlors where arrested, there would be thousands and thousands of women in jail with their lives ruined. I hope Stephen and his family make it through this ordeal.

If the customers enjoy the way they are touched, that is what matters. It is not the role of government to interfere.

I have had Stephen as a massage therapist for the last year. Anyone who goes for a massage has only to speak up if they are not agreeable to what the therapist is doing. I would still continue to see stephen if he is still practicing. Blaming the therapist is not cool.

Are the “Victims” Male Or Female?

  9. Susie says:

I was the victim of “inappropriate touching” during a massage yesterday. I came across this story while researching my situation. While the masseuse was massaging my arm and underarm he ran his hand down my breast squeezed it and and pinched my nipple. I have hundreds of massages all over the world but this was completely out of line and I feel violated. Thoughts and advice?

Jail is where he belong. He kept pretending it was an accident. I will never go back there again.
