Bruins In Ottawa, Trade Rumors Linger

BOSTON (CBS) - The Boston Bruins will finally have Chris Kelly when they take on the Ottawa Senators Friday night.

Could Tomas Kaberle be on the way too?

Rumors have been flying around Boston that the defenseman was heading to the Bruins since Toronto was in town Tuesday night, and more notably since Maple Leafs GM Brian Burke told 98.5 The Sports Hub's Felger and Massarotti the two teams were involved in trade talks.

Three days later, the rumors are still rumors. For a deal that is "all but done," it is taking awhile for it to get completed.

The Bruins started their six-game road trip with a 6-3 win over the Islanders Thursday night. David Krejci had a goal and assist, giving him six points in the last five games.

Tim Thomas is expected to return in net after getting Thursday night off. This season against the Senators, Thomas is 2-1 with two shutouts, and has stopped all but two of the 95 shots Ottawa has sent his way.

Center Chris Kelly was traded from the Senators to the Bruins for a second round draft pick Tuesday night, but could not play with the team in New York because of a visa issue. Kelly will play against the team he spent his first six-and-a-half seasons with. He has 12 goals and 11 assists this season.
