WELLFLEET (CBS) – A young female harbor porpoise was rescued and released on Cape Cod Thursday morning after it became stranded.

This is the third marine mammal stranding that the International Fund for Animal Welfare group has responded to this week.

WBZ-TV’s Christina Hager reports from the New England Aquarium.

The juvenile harbor porpoise had become stranded off of Pine Point Road in Wellfleet.  It was released at Duck Harbor.
