NEW YORK (AP) – Boston Red Sox Dominican Summer League pitcher William Abreu and free agent pitcher Joseph Carpabire have been suspended for 50 games each by Major League Baseball following positive tests under the minor league drug program.
Abreu tested positive for metabolites of Nandrolone, the commissioner’s office said Tuesday. Carpabire tested positive for metabolites of Nandrolone and Stanozolol.
