
A car went off a bridge in Wilmington and landed on train tracks.
WILMINGTON (CBS) — A car went off a bridge on Route 129 in Wilmington and landed on railroad tracks below Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities say the female driver was headed east on Route 129 when she lost control, crossed lanes and smashed through a guardrail. The car fell 25 feet onto the tracks.
The woman was walking around when rescue crews arrived on the scene. She was taken to Lahey Clinic to be checked out, but is expected to be okay.
The SUV was blocking the commuter rail and the MBTA bussed passengers between North Billerica and Lowell.
