Arrest Made In Fatal MBTA Bus Stabbing

BOSTON (CBS) -- A 19-year-old man from Boston has been charged with murdering a man on an MBTA bus last fall.

Kim Gross is charged with stabbing 21-year-old Richard Allen to death. Gross is also charged with assault and battery with a deadly weapon for the non-fatal stabbing of a second man.

The stabbing happened on the number 44 bus near 135 Humbolt Avenue, outside Trotter Elementary School in November.

After the arrest Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis said, "The brazen and public nature of this violent attack shook an entire community."

At the time of the stabbing, Boston police told WBZ NewsRadio 1030 both victims have known gang affiliations and were looking into whether that is connected to the incident.

Gross is expected to be arraigned Monday in Roxbury District Court.
