More Boston Students Graduating, Less Dropping Out
BOSTON (CBS) – More kids are staying in Boston Public Schools, and the four-year graduation rate for the district has risen nearly 2% since 2009.
The numbers, released today by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, show that Boston Public Schools have see graduation rates climb for four straight years, and less students are dropping out.

Out of the 2006/2007 school year, 63.7% graduated within four years, this being 1.8% more than the class before, and 5% more students than the 2003/2004 class.
The district also saw falling dropout rates, from 6.4% in 2009 to 5.7% in 2010.
