BOSTON (CBS) – Gov. Patrick headed to Washington to meet with Democratic National Committee chairman Tim Kaine on Tuesday evening.
“We’re going to have a real quick dinner. I think we’re gonna eat at the airport and I’ll fly right back,” said Gov. Patrick.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030’s Lana Jones reports.
Gov. Patrick talked about what role he could have in the future presidential campaign for Barack Obama.
“Well I have a day job, so that’s my first concern, but I wanna help. I’m very proud of this president. I’m very proud of his agenda. I love the fact that it is so closely aligned with so much of what we’re trying to do here in the Commonwealth, and the administration has been a very important partner for the people of the Commonwealth, so I’d like to do what I can to help him,” said Gov. Patrick.
With that said, the governor promised to give “120 percent” to his day job.
