WEST BARNSTABLE (CBS) – Officials have confirmed a case of swine flu on the Cape.
A student at Cape Cod Community College has contracted the H1N1 virus and is being treated off campus.
WBZ NewsRadio 1030′s Kim Tunnicliffe reports.
“Late last week, we were notified a student on our campus, a member of the college community, had been diagnosed with H1N1 and was off campus for treatment, has not been back to campus. We were given information…about how to avoid the transmission of the flu, which we passed again onto the campus community,” said Michael Gross, the Director of Communications at the college.
With the state Department of Public Health reporting an increase of flu cases, the college is holding a flu clinic for students and staff on Monday.
“Those who wish to participate can join in. Some may well have already been with their private physicians,” said Gross.
