BOSTON (CBS) – Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli said Friday afternoon that center Marc Savard met with team doctors, but did not have an update on the injured center.

“I’m meeting with Marc and his agent over the weekend,” Chiarelli said. “I would think next week we’ll have something as far as a global status.”

Chiarelli said Savard’s spirits are okay, but that he’s been having headaches and vertigo everyday.

Savard has been out nearly two weeks after suffering his second major concussion in 10-months. The injury occured back on January 22nd on a hit by former teammate Matt Hunwick of the Avalanche in Colorado.
