NH Group Petitions Mother Nature For No More Snow

HAMPSTEAD, N.H. (CBS) -- A grassroots effort in New Hampshire is petitioning Mother Nature to halt her snowmaking.

The owner of Bean Towne Coffee House in Hampstead is leading the effort.

During Wednesday's snow storm, when he was forced to close his coffee house because of the weather, Ed Goyette decided to write this Mother Nature: PETITION TO HALT SNOWMAKING ACTIVITIES IMMEDIATELY.

The Facebook petition took off.

WBZ-TV's Karen Anderson reports.

Goyette stood atop a mound of snow on Friday with neighbors and fellow business owners and read his petition.

He outlined several reasons for the request including the impact on children, on families, on homes and businesses.
