Red Line Snake Found
BOSTON (CBS) – Penelope the snake, who went missing on the Red Line in early January, has been found.
The snake, a Boa dumerili, was found on the Red Line safe and sound Thursday evening. She was found on an out of service train in Dorchester by a train attendant who is coincidentally a pet snake owner.
Her owner, Melissa Moorhouse, was on a train downtown heading toward Braintree when she realized her pet boa was gone. The snake usually nestled in her owner's scarf around her neck while riding the T.
Moorhouse had posted a message on Craigslist describing her lost snake, but Transit Police came up empty handed after lengthy searches done at two MBTA stations.
Penelope was expected to be reunited with her owner on Thursday night.
