BOSTON (CBS) – Some local schools are closing their doors Friday over roof concerns due to the recent snow and rain.
All schools in the Hamilton-Wenham Regional School District will be closed based on the recommendation of a structural engineer, who advised officials to remove all snow off the schools’ roofs ahead of Saturday’s storm.
Meanwhile, in Norfolk, school officials cancelled classes for the Freemen-Centennial and HOD Schools on Friday as a result of roof concerns. Crews are set to clear off all snow on the roofs of both schools on Friday.
