Guns & Ammunition Found, Alleged Gardner Gang Member Arrested

GARDNER (CBS) – A number of handguns and assault rifles have been taken off the streets along with the arrest of a suspected cocaine dealer and gang member.

Police arrested 25-year-old Casin Davilla outside his Gardner home on Greenwood Street after a multi-jurisdictional investigation into drug dealing in the north central region of Massachusetts.

Inside Davilla's home, a large cache of weapons, ammunition and drugs was discovered. A bulletproof vest was also found in the home.

The North Worcester County Drug Task Force had investigated Davilla for some time, who is accused of dealing drugs in the region. Authorities also believe he is a member of the Latin Kings gang.

The Massachusetts State Police Gang Unit, in addition to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and many local police units were involved in Thursday's arrest.

The task force is continuing it's investigation. Davilla is expected to be arraigned at the Gardner District Court on Friday.
