Sen. Fargo Hospitalized After Fall At Statehouse

BOSTON (AP) - State Sen. Susan Fargo has been taken to a hospital after falling at the Statehouse.

The Lincoln Democrat was transported on Wednesday to Massachusetts General Hospital minutes after she addressed a group of Latino education activists.

Her office did not know her status or if she suffered any injuries.

The fall occurred in Gardner Auditorium at the Statehouse. The 68-year-old Fargo was heard communicating with staff before paramedics arrived and urged organizers to continue with the scheduled event.

Fargo's district comprises the towns of Bedford, Carlisle, Chelmsford, Concord, Lincoln, Waltham, Weston, and parts of Lexington and Sudbury.
