Stolen Firefighter's Helmet Returned To Widow
FRAMINGHAM (CBS) -- The helmet of a dead firefighter is back in the grateful hands of his widow, after being stolen last week.
Framingham Firefighter Mike Urban died this month from lung cancer. His helmet was presented to his wife, Maureen. But hours later, it was stolen from Urban's nephew's car, which had broken down in a snow storm.
Friends and the Framingham Police Association had posted a $1,500 reward for the helmet's return. The Metro-West Daily News reports police received an anonymous tip Friday night and found the helmet in a backpack behind a shuttered Middleboro fire station.
