Plethora Of Precipitation

It's going to be a quiet Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday.  Sun along with patchy clouds will take us thru the day. The big story of the day will be the very cold temperatures as highs only reach 15F-20F, which is 15F-20F below average.

Tuesday: Skies will cloud over tonight as a storm system crawls up the Eastern Seaboard which is heading our way.  The onset of precipitation start off as snow beginning Tuesday morning.  The snow will spread northward and slowly transition to rain for Southeastern/Eastern Mass thru the afternoon. However, the tricky part is figuring out the exact timing of the changeover and how far the rain/snow line will push into Central Mass and Southern NH.   It appears that there's a high probability of Central/Western Mass and Southern NH receiving several inches of snow on Tuesday before temperatures being to warm into the 30s.

Tuesday Night:  I think most neighborhoods in our viewing area will be mild enough for rain by Tuesday night, while Central Mass and Southern NH have a better chance of a rain/snow mix during this time period.

Wednesday:  We may have a few wrap-around rain showers for Eastern and Southeastern Mass and snow showers for Central Mass & Southern NH.

Nowcasting will be key with this storm.

Melissa :)
