BOSTON (AP) – Gov. Deval Patrick is planning to take part in a series of events memorializing the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. this weekend.
On Sunday Patrick participates in Pittsfield’s annual Martin Luther King Day Celebration at the Second Congregational Church at 3 p.m.
Monday, the governor plans to take part in the 7th Annual Martin Luther King Family Services celebration at Springfield’s Eastfield Mall at 11 a.m.
Later Monday, Patrick will attend the Boston Children’s Chorus’ 8th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. tribute concert at the New England Conservatory in Boston.
Lt. Gov. Timothy Murray will offer remarks Monday at the 26th Annual Community Breakfast honoring King at the Quinsigamond Community College Gym in Worcester.
