Patrick Urges Non-Emergency Workers To Stay Home

BOSTON (CBS) - Massachusetts is telling non-emergency workers to stay home on Wednesday. It hopes private companies do the same to let plow drivers have the space they need to work, especially because they'll be on the road all day.

Many drivers started working Tuesday morning to get their trucks ready.

State officials plan to meet at the emergency bunker at 3 a.m., and at the same time some 4,000 trucks will first pre-treat roads with sand and the salt before they even start their biggest job: plowing.

WBZ-TV's Christina Hager reports.
