BOSTON (CBS) – Has anyone seen Mayor Tom Menino lately?

He’s been out of the hospital for more than a week now, at home in Hyde Park recovering from elective knee surgery.

WBZ Radio’s Carl Stevens reports

“I’m doing real well. I’m recovering,” he told WBZ News Radio’s Carl Stevens Monday.

“I’m doing my exercises. I’m doing what the doctors tell me to do and I’m making a lot of progress and I look forward to tomorrow night and the State of the City address.”

He’s basically brought City Hall into his home while he recovers.

“I’ve been working on the phone with my different department heads. I’ve had meetings in my office in my home with different department heads and bringing folks in. I just don’t sit here and watch TV.”
