Will Casinos Get A Second Look This Year?
BOSTON (CBS) – Massachusetts lawmakers got to the five yard line on casinos last year, but never made it into the end zone because of disagreements between the House and the governor on the issue of slot machines.
Will casinos be a priority on Beacon Hill this year?
It depends on who you ask.

House speaker Bob DeLeo thinks it should come up. He has Wonderland and Suffolk Downs in his district.
Senate president Therese Murray also wants to talk about it, but doesn't know when.
"We already know there are a few bills already in the process are being filed to bring gaming to the table again. So I assume it will be on the agenda," she told WBZ Radio Thursday.
"I think at some point you'll hear that debate again."
But Governor Deval Patrick says don't even file a casino bill unless the two branches of government iron out their differences on gaming, otherwise it's a waste of time.
"Because it just sucks all of the oxygen out of the place," he said.
"We've got a lot of other work to do."
