Two Arrested In Theft Of $20,000 Worth Of Handbags

BOSTON (CBS) – Two Boston men are under arrested after police say they stole more than $20,000 worth of designed handbags.

Kenneth James, 43, of Roxbury, and Robert Davidson, 46, of Dorchester, are charged with larceny.

Police say Thursday night the men went to the Saks Fifth Avenue on Boylston Street and stole 15 Louis Vuitton bags worth $20,220.

James and Davidson were arrested near the store. Two other suspects got away.

James and Davidson were arraigned Friday morning at Boston Municipal Court and are being held on $30,000 and $20,000 cash bail respectively.

Investigators are looking into whether this case is connected to other thefts in the Back Bay.
