PRINCETON (CBS) — While some people cringe when they hear snow in the forecast, there are others who cheer. And cheer loudly. That includes the people at Wachusett Mountain, who say they’ve been struggling to attract people to the slopes.
The mountain has been able to make snow this season, and most of its trails are open, but it hasn’t seen any natural snow yet.
WBZ-TV’s Jim Smith reports.
The coming vacation week will be a huge draw for younger skiers and snow boarders. Many of them are already there.
“We were disappointed about no snow storm, yes, but there’s plenty of the manmade stuff,” said Russ White, who was skiing at the mountain Tuesday night. “We can see that so we are excited!”
