Patrick Plans Low-Key Inauguration

BOSTON (CBS) -- Gov. Deval Patrick will kick off his Jan. 6 Inauguration Day at the Old South Church on Boylston Street. Unlike his first inauguration, next month's ceremony will be held in the State House, in the House Chamber.

The event is open to the public, and starts at noon. "Everything about this inauguration is scaled down from the last time, in keeping with the times," Patrick said.

A party will be held at the Boston Public Library that night.

Then, on Jan. 8, the celebration continues with the start of Project 351. "An ambitious community service project that will invite young people from all across the Commonwealth from every single city and town to come together for a day of service," Patrick explains.
