Felger and Massarotti opened the show today discussing the Red Sox.

Recent reports say that the Sox were ready to make an offer to Yankees closer Mariano Rivera.

They were ready to offer him 2 years at $15 millions a year and were willing to non-tender current closer Jonathan Papelbon.

forget closers the sox have good closers in pap and bard I said it before and i will say it again we are losing bats in the lineup and taking jeter away from the yankees is such a great way to punch them in the face and add a great player to the lineup

Jeter would be a good deal in that Social Security wiould pick up part of his salary,And if he is injured there is always Medicare.
