Driver Unhurt After TV Lands On Car

CONCORD, N.H. (CBS) — She thought it was a gunshot when glass shattered all over her and inside her car.

As the gate went up and Kaleena Guzman pulled out of the Capitol Commons parking garage in Concord, NH Tuesday night, her passenger-side window was blown out and she heard a loud bang. “It was the loudest explosion I’d ever heard, glass came all over me, all on the floor, everywhere.”

But it wasn’t a bullet, it was a television that slammed into her sister’s car after being hurled from the roof above.

WBZ-TV’s Kathy Curran reports

Concord NH police Sgt. John Thomas says he’s extremely troubled by the crime because the suspect had no concern for anyone’s safety.

He says someone could have been seriously injured or killed.

Investigators believe it was a random act. A witness saw the young white male grab the TV from a dumpster next to the parking garage.

Surveillance tape shows the suspect carrying it to the elevator then jogging across the roof with the television in his arms.

Kaleena Guzman says, “It could have taken my life and for what?”

That’s why Guzman and police hope someone recognizes the man who hurled the TV and turns him in.

He’s described as a white male in his late teens or early 20’s about five foot ten inches tall.
