BOSTON (CBS) — December 1 usually means the end of street sweeping in Boston’s North End neighborhood, but that’s not the case this year.
Street sweeping has been extended to 10 months instead of eight.
Street sweepers will now work through the end of December and start back up again in March.
Residents who already fight for parking –especially during the winter months — are not happy about this.
WBZ News Radio’s Carl Stevens reports.
Oh boo hoo. Now they’ll have cleaner streets and less vermin. Tragedy. Are you kidding me?
West End Girl….Also a ton of tickets and tows.
The street sweeping commitee is in the bag with the tow truck company. They have been paying them a cut for total tows per year that is almost 6 figures.
