N.H. Man Accused Of Killing Wife Due Back In Court
CANDIA, N.H. (AP) -- A New Hampshire man accused of beating his wife to death with a flashlight is due back in court for a probable cause hearing.
Christopher Smeltzer is charged with second-degree murder in the death of his wife, 39-year-old Mara Pappalardo Smeltzer. She and the couple's 4-year-old son, Mason, were found dead in the family's Auburn home on Nov. 8.
Authorities haven't said who killed the boy.
The 37-year-old Smeltzer, who's being held without bail, is scheduled for a probable cause hearing Monday in Candia District Court. The hearing is to determine whether there's enough evidence to show grounds to believe a crime was committed and that Smeltzer committed it.
