Bone Marrow Drive Held For Baby Boy

NATICK (CBS) -- The Natick Fire Department is searching for a bone marrow donor for a firefighter's nephew.

Volunteers held a bone marrow drive today for 7-month-old Ryan Cuffe of Easton, who suffers from a rare and life-threatening auto-immune disorder called IPEX Syndrome.

Ryan's uncle, David DiCicco, works for the Natick Fire Department.

Ryan's family says they've been touched by the amazing turnout to help save his life. His grandmother, Pat Falcione says, "Everyone is coming out to help other children in need, it's just an overwhelming show of support."

If you were not able to attend the drive, but still want to become a donor, visit the National Marrow Donor Program website.
