WBZ-TV's Jim Smith reports
Neighbors say they're concerned because it happened in a popular park.
"It's scary cause I got two daughters and you know next to the park where kids come around and play. Imagine them seeing a dead body over here. That would be terrible for them," said Wilmy Delgado, who lives nearby.
Neighbors say they have also complained that the park is not well lit.
A friend of Shavies, who wished to remain anonymous, told WBZ, "He was a very good person and had a great heart and would do anything for anyone. He did not deserve this and I hope the person that did this will be caught. My blessings to go to his family and unborn child."
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Detective Sgt. Gary Quitadamo in the Detective Bureau of the Worcester Police Department at 508.799.8651.
