Funeral, Wake Set For Rehoboth Firefighter

REHOBOTH (CBS) - Funeral services have been set for a veteran Rehoboth firefighter who died of a heart attack on duty Thanksgiving night.

The wake for firefighter Ken Marshall, Jr. will be held Wednesday at the Foley Hathaway Funeral Home in Attleboro. Calling hours are 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m.

The funeral will be Thursday morning at 11 at the Community Covenant Church on Tremont Street in Rehoboth.

Burial will be at nearby Oak Knoll Cemetery.

Marshall went into cardiac arrest Thursday while driving a ladder truck as he and colleagues responded to a call.

Marshall was rushed to Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, where he died.

He was 33 years old and a 15-year veteran of the fire department.  He was a third generation Rehoboth firefighter, following his father and grandfather.

Marshall leaves behind his wife Bethany and their two young children, ages 6 and 3.

A college fund has been set up for the family through Webster Bank.
