Wisconsin Beats Boston College, 65-55

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (AP) -- Jon Leuer scored 18 points and Wisconsin used a huge second-half run to rebound from a lackluster performance and beat Boston College 65-55 on Friday in the second round of the Old Spice Classic.

Josh Gasser had a pair of fastbreak lay-ups and Jordan Taylor hit a spinning jumper in the lane during a 26-2 run that gave Wisconsin a 54-36 lead with 7 1/2 minutes left.

The Badgers had trailed 34-28 three minutes into the second half.

Taylor finished with 14 points for the Badgers (4-1), who were coming off a 50-35 win over Manhattan in Thursday's opening round, in which the Badgers led just 17-10 at the half.

The combined 27 points set an NCAA mark for the fewest points scored in a half since the implementation of the shot clock in 1986.

The previous record was 28, set in game between Mississippi and South Carolina on Jan. 8, 2003.
