Rehoboth Firefighter Dies Responding To Alarm
REHOBOTH (CBS) - A Rehoboth firefighter died in the line of duty on Thanksgiving night.
Ken Marshall, Jr. was driving a fire engine while responding to an alarm around 9:30 p.m. Thursday when he suddenly went into cardiac arrest.
Fellow firefighters stopped the truck and performed CPR. Marshall was rushed to Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro where he died a short time later.

Marshall was 33 years old. He had been a firefighter for 15 years.
"His father was on the department. His brother is still an active member on the department and his grandfather was a past retired deputy chief in the department," Fire Chief Robert Pray told WBZ Radio Friday.
Marshall is survived by his wife Bethany and their two young children, ages 6 and 3.
"It's a tragedy not only for his family, but his extended family," Pray said.
"We're all hurting at the moment. We're going to do what we have to for him and his family."

Friends left several condolence messages on Marshall's Facebook page Friday:
"you were a great husband to your wife and a great father to trevor and bri you will never be forgotten in our hearts, miss you kenny RIP"
In his final Facebook posting at 4:10 a.m. Thursday, Marshall paid tribute to his late grandmother on the holiday.
"Happy Thanksgiving Everyone enjoy your day! Be thankful for your loved one because someday they won`t be here to celebrate with you! R.I.P. Gram love and miss you!!"
