Missing Ludlow Brothers Found By Reporter

LUDLOW (CBS) - Two little boys who disappeared in the town of Ludlow were found by a reporter sent to cover their story.

The brothers, ages six and eight, got lost after wandering away from their home around 4 p.m. Monday.

Shortly after 5 p.m., reporter Kim Lucey from WSHM, the CBS television station in Springfield, arrived to cover the story. She pulled into the parking lot of an Elks lounge near the search area and stumbled upon the two boys. They told her they were lost.

"The brothers said they had tried to get inside the Elks Lodge because they knew it was safe, but the front door was locked," Lucey said. "Turns out the side door was open and I got them inside where it was warm, and called police"

The brothers were wet and cold, but otherwise fine. Police believe the boys were lost in the woods and headed towards the lodge when they saw the outside lights.
