News & Notes Around The NFL From Levan Reid

Here's are some of the news and notes from around the NFL and beyond.

I keep waiting for the final shoe to drop in Dallas, but nothing has happened yet.  The Cowboys are the NFL team that has been the biggest disappointment.

Obviously team owner Jerry Jones is not happy.  He spent a gazillion dollars on a new stadium, the super bowl is there this year and I am sure he expected his Cowboys to play in it.

Well Dallas is bad, real bad but Jerry Jones is still sticking with head coach Wade Phillips. When asked if Wade Phillips will finish the season as Cowboys coach, Jones told KRLD-FM on Friday, "Yes."

Poor Jerry.  All that plastic surgery may have affected his fiery temper.  He needs to pink slip that whole team.

We have heard so much about Reggie Bush and his relationship with Kim Kardashian, well here is some football news for you.

Bush is about one week away from getting back out there on the field.  Reggie, who broke his leg earlier this season, has been practicing with the team on a limited basis.

He has been experiencing some pain.  So instead of this week against the Carolina Panthers, the Saints think Reggie will be ready to go next week.

Soccer 6 is back in the blog and the information is on point this week. The popular show "Dancing with the Stars" made 6 sit up and listen.  Apparently this is not a show Soccer watches (6 watches Basketball and Football Wives on VH1 but not this popular show on ABC, figure that out) but as background noise it was on and Rick Fox was dancing.

He got booted from the contest and then was asked to compare the stress of this show to the NBA.  He said, "Dancing with the Stars" was like being on the free throw line during game 7 of the NBA Championship...  Let that sink in for a little bit.

Rarely do Soccer 6 and I agree on these topics but, "Are you kidding me."

Rick Fox needs a couple of REALLY'S and a C'MON's because that answer was a joke.

Even 6 thought this response was a bit far fetched.  Lebron and Kobe need to beat Fox down.

6 tells me that even though Rick Fox got the boot, the sports world still has some representation. Kurt Warner is still in the mix.

What??? Kurt Warner is doing "Dancing with the Stars" and he's winning.  The show has to be fixed.

Bad television is starting to catch up with 6 because all of a sudden, Football Wives is not that appealing. I heard this from Soccer 6 and almost passed out.

Apparently besides Pilar Sanders (Deion's Wife), none of the other wives are very good on the show.  Okay, so let me get this.  Besides Pilar, who is crazy rich, all the other wives have regular people problems and they are not fun.  Huh... Hello, that's everyday life.

I guess in a golf match Chanita Foster (George Foster's wife), got competitive and pushed the winning factor.  She went from "this is a game" to "win at all costs."

I have not watched the show, but already she is my favorite.  If that is her attitude, well then Football Wives must see TV.

Time for Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose to get an alarm clock.  6 chimes in that Rose was supposed to be on the show "The Good Wife" but overslept and missed his flight to New York for the taping.

Is he trying to balance basketball and acting?  That may be a bit much.  Rose is a great player though.

Maybe on "The Good Wife" he was supposed to play someone who was sleeping.  If that's so, he really nailed the role.

Hey by the way, root for the Chilean miner this weekend at the NYC Marathon.  He ran in the mines when he was trapped and now he's taking on the big city.  If he beats Jared, then we should all go underground and train.  Bring your hard hat and pitch fork.

Thanks you Soccer 6 and thanks for reading.
