Woman Killed By City Bus On Her Birthday
LOWELL (CBS) – A 53-year-old woman was struck and killed by a city bus Thursday evening, on her birthday.
According to police, the unidentified woman, a Lowell resident, was running alongside the moving bus on Central Street near the intersection of Middlesex Street, trying to get the driver's attention to be let on.
At some point, she fell, and was run over by the back tires.
She was transported to Saints Medical Center and pronounced dead there. At this time, police say this appears to be an accident.
