VP Biden Headed To Mass. For 10th Congressional Race Rally

QUINCY (AP) — Vice President Joe Biden is planning a trip to Massachusetts this weekend to rally support for Democratic candidate William Keating in the closely watched 10th Congressional District race.

Keating and Republican Jeffrey Perry are vying for the seat left open by incumbent Democrat Rep. William Delahunt’s decision not to seek re-election.

Biden will headline a rally for Keating in Quincy at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.

The race is a virtual dead heat. The district is one of the most conservative in the state.

Biden and other top Democratic leaders, including President Obama, are hoping to fend off a Republican takeover of the House and Senate in part by stumping for Democrats in tight contests.
