BOSTON (CBS) – The NFL is cracking down on dangerous play in the wake of several devastating hits on the gridiron.
One of them came from NewEngland Patriots safety Brandon Meriweather, who clobbered Baltimore Ravens tight end Todd Heap with a helmet-to-helmet hit last Sunday.
Meriweather apologized, but was fined $50,000.
