Henry family: We're seeking truth
The family of a Pace University football player killed by police outside a suburban New York bar said they're grieving, but "clear-minded" in their search for the truth about what happened.
Danroy Henry of Easton, Mass., was killed early Sunday when officers fired into his car during a disturbance outside a Thornwood bar.
Police say Henry hit two officers with his car after an officer knocked on his window. But a passenger's father denies an officer was hit and said Henry thought he was obeying police.
Henry's family issued a statement on Tuesday saying it was "deeply troubled" by the conflicting accounts.
They said Henry was simply waiting for friends who wanted to leave.
The family said their greatest wish would be to have Henry back, but "all we can settle for now is the absolute truth."
