Local gas prices shoot up 10 cents
A big jump in local gasoline prices, thanks to a couple of things. News from OPEC of an increase in global demand and a weakened dollar have pushed up the price of oil, and that led to a ten cent hike in gasoline prices.
AAA of Southern New England reports the average price of $2.73 a gallon is still eight cents below the national average for self-serve regular.
The range in prices is at a reasonable 36 cents with a low of $2.53 and a high of $2.89.
