When pizza deliveryman Richel Nova was murdered, it hit Boston Mayor Tom Menino.
Nova's twin daughters had worked for the mayor, and he was struck by the aparent senselessness of the murder. Emotions got the better of him last week at Emerson College when he told students during a discussion about capital punishment that "I would do some thing worse than the death penalty ... I would slowly torture them."
Thursday morning, Menino told WBZ's Carl Stevens he regrets his earlier remarks:
