New Hampshire state police say four men were found dead following a car accident in Manchester, a day after being reported missing.

Officials say state troopers and the Manchester Fire Department responded to a report of an accident shortly before 2 p.m. Sunday on southbound I-293, near the I-93 interchange.

Authorities found a vehicle, a 2006 Scion, in a wooded area a short distance off the highway.

Troopers say Jeffrey Levesque and Alex DeFreitas, both 24 from Londonderry, N.H., 25-year-old Jesse Pena of Lowell, Mass., and 25-year-old Chase Abreu of Pelham, N.H., were riding in the vehicle and were pronounced dead at the scene.

The four and their vehicle had been reported missing shortly after 10 p.m. Saturday.

Officials say the accident is under investigation.
