Third relative accused in Cape murder

A third relative has been charged in connection with the shooting death of a Framingham man at his Cape Cod summer home.

Treefon Manoloules of Southborough pleaded not guilty Monday in Barnstable District Court to murder in connection with the September 2009 death of his brother, 47-year-old Aris Manoloules, at his Hyannis home.

Treefon Manoloules' lawyer told the Cape Cod Times that his client was "shocked" by his arrest. No bail was set pending a Sept. 2 hearing.

His son, 18-year-old Christopher Manoloules, and his brother-in-law, 45-year-old Robert Upton, are awaiting trial on murder charges. They have pleaded not guilty.

Prosecutors did not say what led them to arrest Treefon Manoloules.
