Local gas prices up 3 cents

Gas prices are up in Massachusetts for the first time in a month, but remain well below the national average.

AAA Southern New England announced Tuesday that self-serve, regular gasoline increased three cents in the past week, to an average of $2.69 per gallon. The national average is $2.78 per gallon.

Gas in Massachusetts was found as low as $2.51 and as high as $2.99 for a gallon of self-serve regular.
