The scene on the Expressway Tuesday. (WBZ-TV)
A traffic nightmare for commuters on the Southeast Expressway Tuesday morning.
Traffic was backed up for miles after a dump truck crashed and spilled it’s load of dirt all over the highway.
It happened in the southbound lanes near Savin Hill and the Dorchester Yacht Club at around 6 a.m.
At least two people were hurt. They were taken away from the scene in ambulances.
The truck and dirt were removed and all lanes were open by 8 a.m. although traffic was backed-up all the way to Stoneham.

It’s not clear yet what caused the crash.
