Aerosmith guitarist injured in accident

Joe Perry has been treated and released from a Taunton hospital, after being hit by a car in Middleborough while riding his motorcycle on Thursday.

Police say the guitarist for the rock group Aerosmith was hit from behind by the vehicle.

Perry was taken by ambulance to Morton Hospital and released after being treated for minor injuries.

Aerosmith begins a tour next week in California and is scheduled to play at Fenway Park in August.
