N.L. Snaps Streak

[photogallerylink id=33525 align=right]The National League won the All-Star game for the first time since 1996 with a 3-1 victory over the A.L., Tuesday night in Anaheim.  Braves C Brian McCann provided the offensive with a 3-run double in the 7th inning.  Nationals closer Matt Capps got the win, Phil Hughes took the loss, and Dodgers closer Jonathan Broxton saved the game, giving the N.L. home field advantage in the World Series.   

Jon Lester made his All-Star game debut tossing a perfect 6th inning on 18 pitches.

David Ortiz took over as DH for Vlad Guerrero and went 1-2.

Adrian Beltre entered as a defensive replacement at 3B in the 8th and struckout in his only at-bat, in the bottom of the 9th.

Injured Sox All-Stars, Clay Buchholz, Victor Martinez, and Dustin Pedroia were in attendance, but did not play.
