Jon Lester made his All-Star game debut tossing a perfect 6th inning on 18 pitches.

David Ortiz took over as DH for Vlad Guerrero and went 1-2.

Adrian Beltre entered as a defensive replacement at 3B in the 8th and struckout in his only at-bat, in the bottom of the 9th.

Injured Sox All-Stars, Clay Buchholz, Victor Martinez, and Dustin Pedroia were in attendance, but did not play.
