Team USA Eliminated from World Cup
The United States lost to Ghana 2-1 in extra time in the Round of 16 of the World Cup on Saturday. Ghana scored 5 minutes into the match to take a 1-0 lead. Landon Donovan evened the score with a penalty kick in the 63rd minute. The two teams went to extra time tied 1-1, Ghana scored early and the US could not respond.
Ghana moves on to face Uruguay in the quarterfinals from South Africa.
