As the UFC debut in Massachusetts fast approaches more and more details are being revealed.  Spike TV has been airing 2 pre-lim fights leading up to the main card, and UFC 118 in Boston will be no exception.  Spike announced that the two fights they will air live and free will include Bay State natives Jorge Rivera and Joe Lauzon. 

Jorge Rivera (18-7) takes a 3 fight win streak into his bout with Alessio Sakara (15-7).

Joe Lauzon (18-5) is coming off a loss to Sam Stout, he returns to the octagon against Terry Etim (14-3).

Those two fights will provide the lead-in for the main card, which currently looks like this:

  • Frankie Edgar (champ, #1 LW*) vs. B.J. Penn (#2 LW*) (Lightweight Title Fight)
  • Randy Couture (#10 LHW*) vs. James Toney (MMA debut)
  • Nate Marquardt (#5 MW*) vs. Rousimar Palhares
  • Kenny Florian (#5 LW*) vs. Gray Maynard (#7 LW*)
  • Marcus Davis vs. Nate Diaz
